30th Anniversary All Star Labor Classic

The All Star Labor Classic is a high school basketball fundraiser sponsored by Philadelphia’s Organized Labor, that has raised over 2 million dollars to benefit United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia and high school athletes. Spectators enjoy a day of exciting basketball by the best high school seniors in the five county area in a city vs. suburbs match-up. A total of 64 male and female athletes are selected to participate in this Philadelphia-area sporting tradition. These players are awarded scholarships to be used towards books at their future university.
It’s that time of year again – time for nominations for the 2017 Blossom Philadelphia All Star Labor Classic. This is our 30th Anniversary year and we couldn’t be more excited!! We are looking forward to the new venue of Philly U for this anniversary year.
Nominations must be received by January 31, 2017. This is a hard deadline and any nominations after that date will not be considered. Also please remember nominated players must be a Senior graduating in June 2017. To complete the nomination process, please complete the player nomination form and mail in by Jan 31.
1. Events - ASLC 2Player is currently a high school senior and is projected to graduate with his or her senior class in June 2017.
2. Player attends any high school in one of the following five counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia.
3. Player has played basketball during the current season. (If injury has kept him/her out of the game, please explain this beside student’s name.)
4. Player had demonstrated a willingness to cooperate with teammates and has a positive attitude about the sport, his/her talent and the competition.
City – Any school located within the city limits of Philadelphia (regardless of league), plus Philadelphia Catholic League Schools (regardless of location).
Suburbs – Any school located outside the city limits of Philadelphia (regardless of league) but within the boundaries of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery counties (excluding Philadelphia Catholic League Schools).
