403(b) Plan Participants
Thank you for reaching out to Blossom Philadelphia regarding your 403(b) retirement plan. All distributions and rollovers were completed by June 30, 2018. If you did not submit your paperwork by that time, your retirement account was rolled over into an Individual Retirement Account held by Blossom Philadelphia’s Third Party Administrator (TPA), One-America. Full distributions and rollovers of all 403(b) accounts enabled the plan to be terminated on June 30, 2018.

Blossom Philadelphia ceased operations and laid off all employees on December 31, 2018. Beane Associates, Inc. was retained by court appointed Receiver, David Grunfeld of Astor, Weiss, Kaplan, & Mandel to assist with the distribution of Pension Plan Assets to plan participants. Q2 – How do I know if my name is on the list of pension participants?

Q3 - Was my pension escheated to the State of Pennsylvania?
No. Recently enacted legislation prevented The State of Pennsylvania from accepting Blossom Philadelphia’s Pension Plan Assets.
Q4 – Where are my pension plan funds now?
Just before June 30, 2021, the pension plan was closed and all plan assets were transferred to Millennium Trust Corporation of Oak Brook, Illinois - (877)682-4727. Each pension participants’ funds were deposited into separate Rollover IRA accounts where they await your direction. Please contact Millennium Trust Company at www.MTrustCompany.com.
Tax Reporting
Pension Distributions and Rollovers – as you may be aware, Blossom Philadelphia has tax reporting responsibilities associated with pension distributions which are reported on Form 1099-R, Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRA’s, etc.

Blossom Philadelphia will issue Form 1099-R for distributions made during 2021 in January 2022. If your address changes during 2021 please alert us of the change at info@BlossomPhila.org.
